Jeff and his staff are the penultimate professionals, yet extremely down-to-earth and approachable. At the outset we were given Jeff’s direct line and told to call anytime “night or day,” but never once, during the entire course of construction, did we feel the need to. We were kept completely in the loop from the get-go and there was not one issue that wasn’t already addressed and resolved by Jeff and staff before we were even aware any (few that did) had arisen. From day one, Jeff constantly interfaced with our design and us, ensuring that everyone was on the same page as the project progressed. He was budget-conscious from the beginning and was happy to show us alternative ideas when budget concerns arose.

SBC superintendent, Harold, was onsite full-time before the first shovel hit the dirt, keeping everything moving, ensuring the safety of the workers, maintaining order for the neighbors, smooth communication with the city, and continuous engagement with us, the architects and designers and the subs. All subcontractors were professional, hardworking, polite and friendly. The job site was always clean and secure and our neighbors kept happy. Ultimately we were delivered a gorgeous, state of the art, top quality home that we love. There’s not one thing that we would change about our home or the wonderful experience of having Smith Brothers Construction build it. A very happy (and unexpected) side benefit for us was that salt-of-the-earth Jeff Smith and his wonderful wife Cheryl have become good friends of ours.
